How To Get To This Trip
The Hawkrock River, a newfound favorite in Northeast Saskatchewan, is a clear and wild river flowing 100 km north from Forsyth Lake to the Fond du Lac River. Featuring numerous progressively challenging rapids, all runnable, the river winds through limestone gorges. It boasts incredible scenery, ideal for photography with dynamic whitewater and picturesque landscapes. Camping spots vary from crescent beaches to open jack pine benches, offering solitude with rare encounters with others. Wildlife sightings include bald eagles, black bears, moose, caribou, and various birds. The trip starts with a van shuttle from Points North Landing to Forsyth Lake and concludes with a charter flight back from the Fond du Lac River.
